They are essential to the adequate production of thyroid hormones in the body. Guggul gum works along with iodine, increasing its uptake and boosting thyroid gland enzymes. The adaptogen ashwagandha can increase the level of thyroid hormones in those suffering from hypothyroidism or deficiency.
