    Dr. Iichiroh Ohhira, developer of Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotic supplements and skincare products for Essential Formulas, was inspired to create his highly effective probiotic formulas back when he became ill while on a job in Malaysia. He was given a mysterious elixir that seemed to magically soothe his digestive discomfort. From then on, Dr. Ohhira was dedicated to learning what made this elixir so effective and how he could harness that magic to help others.

    His research led him to the discovery that several strains of lactic acid bacteria fermented for an extended period were responsible for the powerful gut-supporting properties of the drink. Using this knowledge, Dr. Ohhira created his probiotic supplements for Essential Formulas using a unique multi-year fermentation process at a natural temperature that allows the bacteria to multiply and become even more powerful.
