Both trace elements are closely involved in the regulation of endocrine function and steroid secretion. They also affect the release of histamines in the brain, giving them a significant role in neurological behavior. Together, they are used to help with depression, menopausal symptoms, hypothyroidism, hormonal disorders, inflammatory disorders and disturbances in growth.
