Ther-Biotic Baby by Klaire Labs is a high potency hypoallergenic blend of 5 Bifidobacterium species and 5 Lactobacillus species that are specifically designed to safely meet intestinal and metabolic support requirements of infants that are 2 years or under. Specially formulated with all lactobacillus species, this supplement is able to produce predominantly L(+)-lactic acid which is capable of being metabolized by infants with ease. Because an infant's gastrointestinal tract is not matured fully at birth, infants cannot easily metabolize the D(-) isomer type of lactic acid that is made by many lactobacilli.

Ther-Biotic Baby powder formula offers a specific selection of probiotic species that has been used based on the documentation of scientific literature, its safety, and the crucial importance of how it affects and helps the development of an immune system and an infant's gastrointestinal system. Designed to support an infant's normal microflora, this infant probiotic formula can help to rebalance the child's system which may have been affected from the use of formula feeding, cesarean section delivery, antibiotics, a maternal diet that is lacking in vegetables and fruits, and toxin exposure.

With its specially formulated design, Klaire Lab's probiotic for babies in powder form is able to offer an easy to mix design that can be mixed with solid food, formula, and expressed breast milk at room temperature when appropriate. Suitable for sensitive stomachs, this infant probiotic supplement contains no added allergens which may include wheat, gluten, corn, shellfish, fish, eggs, milk, casein, peanuts, tree-nuts, soybeans and yeast. It also doesn't contain any added colors, flavors, or preservatives, but contains only the highest quality and purity available along with an Inulin base that is specially derived from chicory root.

Does this need to be refrigerated? It's been sitting out for a few days.. It doesn't say anything on the bottle.: Here is some information we have gotten from our manufacturers like Klaire Labs, regarding the probiotics we carry. While the probiotics can arrive warm or even hot, they are perfectly fine to take. There is nothing in the probiotics to spoil or go bad. The beneficial bacteria in our bodies survive at 98.6° (our homeostatic temperature). The probiotics are manufactured to withstand travel and it is expected that the cold pack will only stay cold for about the first day in transit – depending on the temperatures that it is exposed to. The probiotics are very stable for short periods of time outside of refrigeration, up to at least 6 months. As well, they don't have any potential die-ff until they reach 122° for 72 hours or more. In addition, the probiotics are produced with an overage that will compensate for any loss that may occur during transit. We do not have another way to ship them (while maintaining our free shipping) where we can guarantee that they will arrive cold, because this is not necessary for the probiotics. You may want to consider placing the bottle in the refrigerator and get them cold again before you open them, and they will be perfectly fine
