It involves the transfer of a certain methyl group between molecules to send signals throughout the body to regulate genetic expression and cell function. The formula for MethylAssist from Pure Encapsulations contains folate and vitamins B6 and B12. It also contains benfotiamine, a natural substance derived from thiamine that supports the metabolism of carbohydrates. These ingredients are activated so that they are easier for the body to absorb.
