Elite DHA Gems 1000 mg 60 softgels by Carlson Labs provides concentrated DHA and Omega-3™s for natural vision, brain, and heart health. The formula contains 1000mg of DHA in each preservative-free softgel.

DHA is an omega 3 fatty acid found in high amounts in fish oil such as salmon. It reduces the risk factors for heart disease by increasing the HDL good cholesterol and lowering the bad cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. DHA is found to be more effective at reducing these risk factors than EPA, another omega 3 fatty acid found in fish. DHA has been shown to decrease eye pressure and has been used to relieve diabetic retinopathy and dry eyes. It is also vital to brain and eye development in humans. Omega 3s can also help prevent the severity or onset of some mental health conditions and cognitive decline.
