Super Daily K2 45 mcg by Carlson Labs is a dietary supplement that contains liquid vitamin K2 and medium-chain glyceride oil (sourced from coconut and palm kernel). When calcium is broken down in the body, vitamin K2 activates a protein that helps the mineral bind to the bones and builds strength. Calcium cannot adequately be processed on its own to help maintain strong, healthy bones; hence, the need for vitamin K2 to activate certain proteins, including osteocalcin and Matrix GLA Protein (MGP), which plays a key role in binding calcium to the bone matrix. Studies have linked high amounts of this vitamin with improved bone density and reduced risk of bone fractures.
