Hyaluronic Acid by Douglas Laboratories is a dietary supplement for joint, skin, and connective tissue health. It contains 70 mg of hyaluronic acid in each vegetarian capsule to add to tissue lubrication.

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body and in the connective tissue, skin, and eyes. Its primary function is to keep these areas moist and lubricated for proper movement and operation. The aging process, harmful irritants, and the sun cause the skin to dry out and reduce hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid binds to water in the skin to help keep in the moisture.  In between bones, hyaluronic acid can be found as a lubricant, keeping bones from grinding together and causing joint pain. Dry eyes can be treated with hyaluronic acid as it helps to retain the moisture found there.
