Phytoprofen by Thorne Research is a high quality health formula which is designed to help with improving your overall health and wellbeing. This health formula features a combination of Ayurvedic botanicals along with ginger and bromelain.

Each of the ingredients offer a specific role within the body. Boswellia serrata is able to inhibit leukotriene synthesis. Curcuma longa is able to inhibit leukotrienes and prostaglandins formation, while Picrorhiza kurroa can inhibit the formation of prostaglandin. This product is designed to be taken by sensitive individual who may have allergies with common foods, and features bromelain which offers anti-inflammatory properties and comes from the pineapple plant.

Other Ingredients:

Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, Leucine.

Warnings:

If pregnant, consult your health professional before using this product. Keep out of the reach of children. Because bromelain has fibrinolytic effects, potentially inhibiting blood clotting, Phytoprofen should be used with caution or avoided in individuals on anticoagulant therapy. Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research reveals curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided. It is not recommended to remove the Phytoprofen powder from the capsule to take orally, as it can be irritating to the oral mucosa.
