"I have used Tri-Salts for years, as a buffer for acidic foods and drinks, to ease acid reflux and general systemic over-acidity. Fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea lose their sting! My doctors are aware of this, and do not object. Lab tests for electrolytes and pH are normal. Special note if you are new to this product: start small and work up: there's a fair amount of magnesium in the mixture. Too much can make you sleepy--and can cause loose stools. I notice that some people just mix Tri-Salts with water (I don't), then complain that it seems chalky. Well, yes, it would: the largest of the three ingredients is calcium. Chalk IS calcium. Now, try adding it to something else, then enjoy relief from acidity! B. in California"
