Kid's Super Daily K2 22.5 mcg 10.16 mL by Carlson Labs is a dietary supplement for children that contains liquid vitamin K and medium-chain glyceride oil (sourced from coconut and palm kernel). Vitamin K plays an important role in bone health and wound healing. Vitamin K makes proteins for healthy bones and normal blood clotting. It helps produce four of the 13 proteins needed for blood clotting. Prothrombin is one of the proteins dependent on the vitamin to enable blood clotting, and Osteocalcin is another protein that requires vitamin K to produce healthy bone tissue.
Studies have shown that this vitamin also promotes heart health. It is involved with the production of matrix GLA proteins (MGP), which help to prevent calcification or hardening of heart arteries, which may cause cardiovascular diseases. This product does not contain gluten, soy, or artificial preservatives.
